2 cup sugar
5 eggs yolks
5 eggs white
1 stick butter
1 cup soda
Half cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
2 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup coconut
First make cream of sugar, shortening and butter. Then add egg yolks and stir it well. Add buttermilk as well as flour and vanilla in the mixture. Beat mixture well. Fold this mixture in pecans, coconut and whites. Bake this mixture at 350 degrees for 30 minutes in greased pan.
For frosting, you need one stick butter, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts. Mix cream cheese and butter well. Then add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts into it. With mixture, frost the cake and make it look beautiful.
